Best Ever Pumpkin Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 15 ounce can pumpkin puree
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 cups (402 grams) granulated white sugar
  • 3 1/2 cups (448 g) all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 tsp cloves

Instructions

  • Preaheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour one 8.5x3.5 inch loaf pan. Prepare 12 muffin tins as well.
  • In a large bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, eggs, applesauce, oil, water and sugar until well blended. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves and pumpkin pie spice. Mix with a hand mixer the dry ingredients into the pumpkin mixture until just blended. Pour into the prepared pan and muffin tins.
  • Bake for loaf about 50 minutes in the preheated oven. Bread is done when toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Next bake the 12 muffins for about 20 minutes.
