White House Black Market Summer Favorites…

I hope all of you had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend! I have to say the extended weekend was really nice. Friday was off for me too unexpectedly (which never happens), so in the end I had a grand total of five days off, which was heavenly! We got together with family for the fourth, where we enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs and the kids had fun with sparklers. The rest of the time was spent relaxing and catching up on errands – my favorite kind of time! 

WHBM Scuba Knit Fit and Flare Dress

Anyway, today I am teaming up with White House Black Market to show you my favorites from their new arrivals. The first is this gorgeous petite-friendly scuba knit fit and flare dress. This dress stood out to me because of the soft blue, silver and black floral pattern. This dress is elegant in its simplicity, and it has a hint of retro which I really like. The A-line design is universally flattering on every body type. There is not a petite version, but the regular version isn’t too long and falls just above my knees.

This is the perfect dress for a summer special event such as a wedding or shower. If you want to wear it for work, I would wear it with a cropped blazer or cardigan and pumps.

This elegant dress speaks for itself, so I kept accessories minimal with a pearlized box clutch, silver sandals, and a simple pearl necklace. I received so many compliments when I wore this!

WHBM High Rise Skinny Crop Jeans

White jeans are a closet staple, in my opinion. I wear them year round, as they go with so many tops and sweaters. But finding petite-friendly jeans is always a struggle. This is why I like these WHBM high rise skinny crop jeans. These jeans fit like a glove, and they have a little bit of stretch, which I really love. The petite version is a bit more cropped, so I am actually wearing the size 2 regular version here. As a mom, I really like the high-rise waist too. They are slightly thinner, which means they aren’t too heavy for summer.

WHMM Floral One Shoulder Top

I’ve always loved the floral designs that WHBM creates. They are so soft and feminine, and this floral one shoulder top is no exception. The one-shoulder design is on-trend. And I like the flattering shirred sides, which means you’ll still look great after a big lunch or dinner!

This look is perfect for a summer lunch date, or an evening event too!

WHBM Reversible Geo/Floral Wrap Dress

I love WHBM’s take on this classic wrap dress. It comes in both regular and petites, and I am wearing the petite version in a size 2. Again this is the kind of dress that is universally flattering. Since this dress is reversible, it is actually two dresses in one! This is the kind of dress that works for the office or for an evening event. And I love the soft fabric belt, as it adds a nice feminine touch. This dress is easy and versatile, and packs well for travel too.

I struggle a lot keeping wrap dresses closed, but this one falls a bit higher on my chest and stays closed without issues. The black and white floral design is gorgeous! And it’s hard to tell from these pictures, but the flowers are outlined with a little bit of a fine silver lining that really makes the floral print pop.

The reverse side is a geo print that reminds me of leopard print.  I am wearing it with the fabric belt, but it would look really nice with a leather belt for an edgier look. Pair it with a denim jacket for a more casual look.

You can see a bit of the floral design when you wear the geo design side, but I don’t mind that at all. The stretchy knit fabric is so comfortable, and this is the kind of dress you could wear all day!
