The Best Slip Skirts for Fall
Summer is still here but fall is definitely in the air. The nights are getting longer and temperatures are cooler, which means I’m putting away shorts and sundresses and pulling out pants and long skirts. One of my favorites skirts to wear this season is the satin midi skirt. A satin midi skirt is simple in design, yet at the same time wearing one creates the foundation for an effortlessly sophisticated look. A satin midi skirt is easy to dress up or dress down. Wear with a sweater and nice heels for the office. For a chic weekend look style with a graphic tee, denim jacket and your favorite pair of Golden Goose sneakers. Whenever I go to my closet and am looking something polished yet comfortable, this is the one thing I decide to wear over and over again. So today I thought I would show you my favorites that would be perfect to wear this fall.
Vince Bias Cut Midi Slip Skirt
I had my eye on this gorgeous satin midi skirt by Vince for months. Over the summer I finally hit the buy button, yet didn’t get a chance to photograph it until now. This skirt was a bit of the splurge, but totally worth the price, in my opinion. For a satin skirt, this one definitely has a lot of structure to it, and the material is thicker than you would expect from a satin skirt. And this skirt is so comfortable! I love the blush pink color, but it is available in limited sizes. This skirt is definitely petite-friendly, despite the midi length. It also comes in a lovely lavender color as well as a pretty pale yellow color. However if you love blush the way I do, this one by Cinq-a-Sept is virtually identical. But if you are price conscious, this one by J. Crew is also a really nice option.
Styling a Satin Midi Skirt
With the cooler days here, I decided to style this skirt with an older Madewell sweater I had. That one sold out but I really like this soft and cozy cowl neck sweater by Chelsea28. The key to wearing a sweater with a satin midi skirt is to choose one with a bit of texture to it so that your outfit has definition. If you are going to wear a satin midi skirt casually I suggest wearing it with a graphic tee and a denim jacket, as this combination would give it so much style!
More Satin Midi Skirts to Love
The possibilities are almost endless when it comes to wearing a satin midi skirt! For a budget-friendly option that is great for fall I really like this one by Topshop. If you like leopard print, I love, love, love this one by Realisation. And if you like a subtle geometric print on your skirt this one by Leith would be perfect. I hope today’s post has given you lots of fall outfit inspiration! And as always, thanks for stopping by!
