Chicwish Timeless Delicacy Crochet Dress

For those of you that follow my blog regularly, you know I have a slight obsession with anything lace (or crochet for that matter)! I have loved shopping at Chicwish ever since I started blogging. It’s for a good reason – Chicwish always seems to have stylish dresses, tops, and skirts at a very reasonable price point. In general I have been impressed with their customer service as communication is fairly open and returns are easy. Shipping is from China, so it does take a little extra time to receive your order.

I was looking for a lace dress to wear with a moto leather jacket, and when I saw this Timeless Delicacy Crochet Dress it was exactly what I had in mind. I will say that the dress I received is slightly different from the one pictured on the Chicwish site, but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised when it came in the mail as I like the dress I received even better. The contrasting black and white floral design is striking, yet unabashedly feminine. 

This dress is perfect for petites, as it does run ever so slightly short. I am wearing a small and the dress fits perfectly. The dress is very well made and is fully lined. I do tend to size up one size with Chicwish clothing, as all of their clothes tend to run on the small side. 

Topshop Leather Moto Jacket

This Topshop leather moto jacket is one of my favorites of the season! I picked up this jacket (sold out but this one is very similar) over the summer during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale at a really good price. This jacket is really well made and I know I will get lots of use out of it for many years. You really can’t go wrong with a leather moto jacket as it is a staple wardrobe piece that can be worn with so many different outfits. 

I wore this dress to an evening event at New York Fashion Week. The temperatures were cooler then, so I decided to style this dress with a leather moto jacket. Combining leather with lace is one of my favorite fashion trends. When you think of leather you think of words such as tough and strong. Lace makes you think of words such as delicate, fragile and pretty. Combining the two makes for a very stylish juxtaposition. 

The weather finally feels like fall here. So now is the perfect time to layer clothing pieces such as I have done here. This dress is perfect for any sort of evening event or even a wedding or shower. And the leather moto jacket adds rebellious touch to an  otherwise sweet and feminine lace dress.
