Off the shoulder tops have been all the rage this summer. I’ve purchased several and can say I haven’t truly liked many. Most of them I have found are too loose at the top and whenever I lift my arms above my head the top goes over my shoulders. This causes me to need to constantly readjust the top. I was about to give up on them completely (as I assumed the off the shoulder look was just a passing trend) until when I was browsing the SheIn site one day this off the shoulder top caught my eye. Of course I had to think about it but as the digital marketing programs kept flashing it on my screen on Facebook and even USA today, I began to want it more and more. Finally I pulled the trigger and bought it! It was under $21 so my decision was easy. I loved both the stripe detail of the shirt and the oh so feminine bell sleeves. When I got it in person I was even more impressed! It was cotton and well made. The elastic banding at the top was very strong, and I had no worries about the top slipping while wearing it. And the bell sleeves looked even better in person! This was perfectly sized in the XS and it was just the right size for me.
I paired this with my new favorite jeans by Treasure&Bond that I got at Nordstrom. I just love these jeans! They are well made and with a 27″ inseam they are only *slightly* too long for me. The size 26 fit me fairly well, though they are slightly baggy so I could have even gotten them in a 25. I also wore my favorite M. Gemi sandals. This outfit was perfect for a weekend day out with my daughter. A perfect outfit for the fleeting days of summer here in Michigan.

Love that off the shoulder top! I have a lot of trouble with wanting to come up over my shoulders or falling too low. But let’s face it, they are not made to be terribly functional 😉
