Madewell Fair Isle Sweater
We are supposed to have a warming spell this week, but right now, it is definitely still sweater weather. I’ve always had a love affair with fair isle sweaters, as they are feminine, colorful, and eye-catching. Madewell is having their amazing end of season sale, and I picked up their Fair Isle pullover sweater last week literally. It was in stock in all sizes when I bought it, but just like that it sold out quickly (the sale is that good!). You can still get the Madewell Fair Isle Sweater however at Net-A-Porter. Since this lovely sweater sold out so quickly, I decided to devote this post to all of my favorite Fair Isle sweaters that are available this season.
A good Fair Isle sweater is a classic wardrobe piece that will be in style for years. Not just for ski trips, a Fair Isle sweater is a great way to stay warm and add color to your outfit! I love the Madewell Fair Isle sweaters because of the rich fall colors it has and how soft it feels. I’ve always loved “earthy” colors and this sweater works so well with pieces I already own.
In addition to the Madewell Fair Isle sweater, several others have caught my eye this season. J. Crew has had so many nice ones, but most are sold out. This lovely Fair Isle sweater comes in both navy and a sandstone color (both are 40% off right now). The ruffled bell sleeves add a feminine twist as well. This beautiful emerald green sweater by J. Crew (sold at Nordstrom) would be perfect well into March of this year (and perfect for St. Patrick’s Day!).
Other Fair Isle Favorites
Talbots has had several nice Fair Isle sweaters this season. I posted about this colorful Carnival Fair Isle sweater last month (seen here). This sweater is perfect for winter festivities. At 50% off now is a great time to snag it. I’ve also had my eye on this Thermolite® Fair Isle Half-Zip Sweater (also on sale) from Talbots. It just looks so warm and cozy. I could see lounging around or doing a day of errands wearing this sweater with a pair of leggings, boots, and a red pom-pom beanie. Other favorites include this pretty coral sweater from Loft (almost sold out at 60% off). Loft also offers this bright yellow turtleneck version as well. At Nordstrom there is this black and white Fair Isle sweater by Treasure and Bond that would be perfect for winter layering. Finally this super luxe mohair-blend sweater from H&M is perfect for a relaxing day at home!
Burberry Duffle Coat
I’ve said before that I have never found a Burberry coat I didn’t like. This Burberry Duffle coat is my latest investment. This classic coat has a style that will endure through the decades. This super warm wool coat is more casual than your typical Burberry coat, with it’s leather patch and horn closures. I absolutely love this coat! I will definitely be wearing it for years to come.
Tory Burch Laila Over the Knee Boots
I cannot say enough positive things about these Tory Burch suede OTK boots! I love them so much that I bought them in two colors (see where I first posted about them here). These classic suede boots are every bit as nice as my Stuart Weitzman boots. They are marked down to $299 now (with an additional 30% off they are just over $200, which is a fantastic price!). These boots are so comfortable and well-made that I know I will be wearing them for multiple seasons. They do run a bit narrow in the calf, which means they fit well for a petite woman like myself.
So I hope this post has given you plenty of sweater-weather inspiration! Try to stay warm in these frigid temperatures too.
As always, thanks for looking!
