My favorite color for a very long time has been steel blue. If you notice my website, though rather simple, is bordered in a light blue steel color. I have this color all throughout my house too (accent color for pillows, seat cushions, and curtains). There is just something so calm and soothing about this color to me. So when I was doing back to school shopping at the local mall for my kids, I happened to see this top in the window of the J. Crew store. This J. Crew Margot top was in my favorite color, and I loved the soft ruffles and the geometric pattern of the shirt. I almost always think twice before buying something, but by the end of the shopping trip, I knew that I wanted it. I already had navy pants (my Ann Taylor Petite Devin pants) as well as a statement necklace in complementary colors. So before we left for the day I went back to the store to get it. I was able to use my educator discount (since I work at the local university) and received 15% off the full price on in-store purchases. That made the top a little more affordable at least. It is pure silk, well made, and very comfortable. It was a perfect top to wear to work. I could see it being paired with a blazer or even a mini skirt as well.
Thanks for looking!
