Burberry Diamond Quilted Jacket Review
I have a slight obsession with all things Burberry. Even before I started this fashion blog I have always loved the classic styling of Burberry jackets. Every time I put one I feel like my look is polished! I own several, and have never been disappointed in any of them. I had been eyeing the Diamond Quilted Jacket for quite some time now (ever since I noticed the pink version in the spring). When I saw this pretty dark olive color, I finally hit the buy button. The jacket was perfect for these shots on the mossy rocks of Laguna Beach, on a recent trip I took to California. I got to hang out with my friend Debbie of To Thine Own Style Be True (she took these pictures) and we had such a great time!
Of the Burberry Jackets, this one is more affordable than others that they sell (coming in at just under $600). The Diamond Quilted jacket is a lightweight jacket that is more appropriate for spring and fall. This jacket is shorter, which means it looks better on a petite frame. You can see the trademark check pattern both on the sleeves, and under the collar, which really makes this jacket distinctive. The Diamond Quilted jacket comes in six different colors: black, olive, navy, red, pink, and a beige color called canvas.
I like that it is slightly cinched at the waist, creating a more tailored look. The jacket really does create a slimming effect, and that is why I like it so much. I am wearing a size XS here, and it fits me well.
Citizens of Humanity Cara Ankle Jeans
My jeans are the Citizens of Humanity Cara crop jeans. These are my favorite pair of jeans. They have a 27″ inseam, which means they fit me without alterations. These are a quality pair of jeans that will last for years, and are worth the extra money that you will pay for them.
To add contrast to the outfit, I am wearing a simple striped tee from J. Crew. The mix of the check pattern on the sleeve, the diamond quilting on the jacket, and the stripes on the shirt really do blend together well. A Gucci belt completes the look.
Burberry jackets rarely go on sale at Burberry, but they often do go on sale at Bloomingdales. Right now you can get the Diamond quilted coat at Bloomingdales and receive a $125 reward card for your purchase (until 12/10). I especially like the dark plum pink version that Bloomingdales sells. This jacket is on sale for under $450 and you can still earn $100 in rewards when buying it – in my opinion this is a fantastic price!
