Happy Wednesday everyone! Spring is just around the corner – a little over a week away! I am so excited for the change of seasons. However, right now we are very much in the midst of winter. Since there is still a definite chill in the air, I find myself grabbing my newest camel coat almost all the time. As I’ve said before, a camel coat is one of the most classic and versatile pieces you can have in your closet. My wardrobe consists of a lot of neutral colors, and a camel coat seems to go with just about anything. Since it is the end of the season, now is a great time to grab a camel coat, as you will definitely be able to wear it for years to come. Today’s post is about showing you two classic ways to style a camel coat.
Fleurette Notch Collar Wool Coat
I’ve purchased several camel coats over the years, and there are only a few to me that are worth the investment. One of which is the Fleurette Notch Collar Wool Coat. This camel walking coat exudes class and elegance, and the fabric is top quality, with excellent tailoring. This coat is definitely petite-friendly. It comes in petites (though in limited sizes). I am wearing my typical 2R and this coat fits perfectly. Since it is the end of season, you can pick up this coat at a fantastic price (50% off!). This coat is also available in black, grey, and a dark mauve color. This truly is a gorgeous coat that you can wear for years!
More great camel coats!
I just love the combination of camel and black. Camel and black are classic colors on their own, but when you put them together it creates a look with class, and a decidedly luxe appeal. Here I am wearing this black turtleneck with my favorite J. Brand jeans. Gold accents (this belt and this necklace) complete the look.
A camel coat isn’t just for the fall and winter. For a more spring-forward style, wear a camel coat with white. Camel and white is just as classic and stylish as camel and black!
I love, love, love this Topshop lace pointelle sweater. This sweater is nice, thick and warm, yet the lace pattern gives it a more feminine look. It is definitely one of my favorite sweaters of the season! This really is a versatile sweater, that would go with so many looks. I wore it previously here with jeans, but I could also see it looking nice with a pair of plaid pants for the office.
Everlane Cheeky Straight Leg Jeans
If you are looking for a great petite-friendly pair of white jeans, look no further than these Everlane Cheeky straight leg jeans. These jeans are super comfortable, and they look great on me. They have just the right amount of stretch, and they are a great fit around the thighs, hips, and waist. Jean sizing can be tricky, but I am wearing my typical 26 Ankle and these jeans fit perfectly. They also come in light blue, dark blue, black, and faded black. A welcome reprieve from my skinny-jean fatigue! You will definitely be seeing these jeans on repeat!
So which would you prefer? A camel coat with black or a camel coat with white? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
As always, thanks for stopping by!
