8 Fun Kids Galentine’s Day Activities
As much as Valentine’s day is about letting your significant other know how much you love them, it is just as much fun celebrating the day with your kids. I always like to surprise my kids on the morning of Valentines day with a box of treats and a special Valentine’s day card. But this is just a minimum. Each year we try to do at least one fun Valentine’s day activity with the kids as well. It can be as simple as a special breakfast or a craft activity. My kids helped me come up with this list, so read on to feel inspired for what to do on Galentine’s day to celebrate with your favorite little beau!
Mani Pedi Day at the Salon
This is one of my favorite activities to do with my girls. They love getting their nails done, and I love a nice, relaxing pedicure. For Valentine’s day make it fun by painting your nails in a red and white theme. This article from the Today show gives you lots of examples for Valentine nail art you could do with any Galentine!
Galentine’s Day Tea Party
I love a fun tea party with my girls (as we did in this post). My friend Alicia of The Lush List recently shared a Valentine’s day tablescape for kids, and this would be the perfect setting for a tea party!
Heart Waffle Breakfast
Instead of a tea party with just the girls, have a waffle breakfast with all your kids. I love this heart waffle recipe by Madeline Lu (adding the blueberry compote is a must!). The blue And for a heart shaped waffle iron this is a nice option (you aren’t limited to just hearts). For a less expensive option I really like this mini heart waffle iron.
Make Heart Friendship Bracelets
Make a Crochet Heart Pouch
I absolutely love this idea for a craft with my girls from Persia Loyd. This cute little pouch would be perfect for classroom Valentines or would make a great fashion statement!
Make a DIY Galentine’s Day Card
Browse through Pinterest to find lots of ideas for Galentine’s cards. Country Living put together this nice collection of cards you can make too. I also like this book that is filled with cards you and your girls can color to make unique.
Make a Valentine Mailbox
I came across these adorable personalized Valentine mailboxes on Etsy. Head to your local JoAnn’s for these mailbox tins and you can make your own personalized Valentine mailbox! If you don’t have a JoAnn’s then this one on Amazon works nicely too.
Decorate Heart Squishies
If you have young girls, then you probably have a few squishes in your house. My girls recently started painting their own squishes. You can find these paintable squishes (with a few hearts included) on Amazon. It would be such a fun time to paint them together!
I hope today’s post has given you lots of ideas for how to celebrate Galentine’s day with your special someone. As always, thanks for stopping by!
