Ann Taylor Reversible Cape

I must confess that I am a Midwestern girl at heart. I grew up in Ohio and took for granted the beauty of the world around me. When I moved to Las Vegas for three years it was so hard for me to adjust to living in a foreign, desert climate (though eventually I did learn to see the beauty there too). I missed the change of seasons (and most of all I missed fall). When we came back to the Midwest to live in Ann Arbor three years ago, I felt so at home with the trees, the grass, and all the greenery! And of course have been happy to be able to experience fall again. In the city of trees, this is so easy to do! There are so many trees here, and this city turns into an amazing spectacle of colors in the fall. I knew the fall leaves would be the perfect backdrop for a fashion blogging photo session.

So on to my outfit. Fall tends to be a bit chilly here, so a cape is a perfect way to add style to an outfit and keep warm at the same time. I absolutely love the pastel colors of this Ann Taylor Reversible Cape! I got this cape during one of Ann Taylor’s 50% off sales (I almost never purchase anything full price at Ann Taylor). If you prefer something with a button at the top then this is a nice alternative. The dress I am wearing (it is labeled as a sweater, but fits like a skirt on me) is from H&M. It is just so cozy and comfortable and is under $15 currently! To complete the outfit I am wearing one of my favorite pairs of OTK boots from Goodnight Macaroon (also a great value and very nice quality). Overall, a perfect look for the fall.

Thanks for looking!

xo April
